They make multi-step research and in-depth data analysis as simple as having a conversation. Whether it's critical business negotiations, market analysis, or identifying patterns from massive datasets, these two reasoning assistants, designed specifically for workplace scenarios, help you unlock professional-level insights in minutes.
Researcher: Expert in Problem Research
Researcher is a reasoning AI agent tailored for work scenarios, combining OpenAI's advanced research models with Microsoft 365 Copilot's orchestration and search capabilities.
Its workflow follows a logical chain of "problem decomposition → information retrieval → content integration → report generation." For example:
- A user poses a complex question (e.g., "Evaluate the impact of a specific tariff on business lines").
- Researcher automatically extracts relevant information from multiple sources, including corporate documents, emails, and web pages.
- It generates a structured research report through semantic understanding and reasoning.
- Users can ask further questions or adjust the research direction based on the report.
Analyst uses chain-of-thought reasoning to simulate the thinking process of human analysts, processing data step-by-step and optimizing results. Based on OpenAI's o3-mini model, it supports Python code execution and is suitable for complex data analysis tasks.
