Copilot Training

To address enterprises’ AI deployment challenges of “successful procurement yet poor adoption and safety concerns”, NOVATECH, in partnership with Microsoft, has wrapped up the first Microsoft 365 Copilot Enterprise AI Empowerment Workshop.

The training covers the full lifecycle including foundational knowledge, hands-on practice, Agent development and AI security governance. Tailored for managers, IT leads and cross-functional business teams, it delivers a closed loop from theoretical understanding to business practice and risk control, enabling enterprises to adopt enterprise AI productivity safely and at scale.

Training Agenda Highlights

The workshop progresses through five interconnected modules, balancing hands-on business practice with enterprise security foundations:

🔹 Module 1 | Comprehensive Overview of Next-Generation Copilot Moving beyond the conventional view of AI assistants, participants explore Work IQ — the core intelligence layer powering modern Copilot. Rather than acting as an external AI add-on, Copilot is natively built into the Microsoft 365 ecosystem. It accesses enterprise emails, meetings and documents while learning employees’ work patterns. It supports flexible switching between GPT, Claude and other models, automatically selecting the optimal model for complex analysis and daily office tasks. There is no need to manually compile materials for AI inputs; Copilot directly understands the enterprise’s real business context.

🔹 Module 2 | Fundamentals of Microsoft 365 Copilot Capabilities A full breakdown of the Copilot suite: Copilot Chat, semantic search, Create for content generation, native Office Copilot, and Copilot Cowork for task delegation. Hands-on exercises for native Word / Excel / PowerPoint / Outlook / Teams scenarios: document drafting and revision, spreadsheet data analysis, instant presentation generation, email sorting and reply, and intelligent meeting minutes. Deliverables are native reusable files, not plain chat text. Core Copilot Cowork practice: moving beyond one-off Q&A sessions. Complex cross-resource work spanning emails, documents and spreadsheets can be delegated to AI. The AI independently plans and advances tasks, awaiting human confirmation at critical checkpoints. This truly empowers teams to “delegate work and receive finished outputs”. The five-element framework for high-quality prompts is shared: define deliverables, specify reference materials, set output standards, confirm approval gates and add special requirements. Participants learn to distinguish vague queries from precise business prompts and apply the framework immediately.

🔹 Module 3 | Copilot Agent Business Practice & Intelligent Build Evolving from AI assistants to AI executors, exploring the business value of Agents: Practice with pre-built Agents including Researcher for in-depth research, Analyst for data analytics, and Legal Agent for contract review. Business users build low-code workflows to automate repetitive processes such as weekly report aggregation and email-triggered task assignment. Human-Agent collaboration within Teams and integration of third-party Agents to connect additional business systems.

🔹 Module 4 | Enterprise AI Security & Governance Strategy This is an indispensable foundation for scaled enterprise AI adoption. The session addresses four major enterprise AI concerns: confidential data leakage, unauthorized AI data access, lack of visibility into AI usage, and shadow AI risks. Copilot does not act as a super-administrator. It strictly inherits existing Microsoft 365 permissions: data inaccessible to human users remains inaccessible to AI. The complete Trust security framework is explained: data stays within the enterprise tenant, permission inheritance, end-to-end audit logs, and protection via the Purview + Defender + Entra stack. The training equips IT teams with governance controls, gives management peace of mind, and empowers business staff to use AI safely, resolving the pain point of “technical availability with restricted adoption”.

🔹 Module 5 | Advanced Training, Resources & Expert Q&A Advanced topics such as custom Agent development in Copilot Studio and natural language data querying with Fabric are covered. An on-site expert Q&A session dissects real business challenges from participating enterprises and generates actionable implementation plans.

💡 Workshop Highlights

Attendees include CEOs, CIOs, IT leaders and professionals from sales, legal, finance, marketing and HR functions. Participants moved past superficial perceptions of AI tools and completed hands-on exercises targeting pain points in their respective roles.

Many clients shared their feedback: they previously had limited understanding of Copilot and only witnessed its continuous feature updates. This training helped them truly grasp Copilot’s enterprise value — offloading repetitive, tedious work to AI so people can focus on high-value work such as decision-making and creation, while safeguarding corporate data security.

Future AI competition hinges not only on model capability, but also on enterprise trust and scalable governance.
