Notification Again! Microsoft to Discontinue Azure OpenAI Services for Individual Users in Mainland China, Corporate Users Unaffected

Microsoft Azure has announced that it will discontinue OpenAI API services for individual users in Mainland China. Individual users will no longer be able to access the service after October 21, 2024. However, corporate users are unaffected and can continue to apply for or use Microsoft Azure OpenAI services.
In the face of this significant adjustment by Microsoft, there is no need to panic.
  • If you are currently a corporate user, you can apply for or use the service as usual, without any impact.
  • If you are currently an individual user and wish to continue using Azure OpenAI services in the future, you will need to upgrade to a corporate user.
